May Isay that when I am able to start my instruction to this New Seed Group with the words "My
Brothers," you will then know that an adequate measure of group-integration has been achieved and
that the real group work can begin. I have earlierstated the wider and more important objectives which are, as you saw, entirely impersonal. I would commit this particular objective to yourintelligent consideration. I would have you begin your new work with this objective and goal in your defined consciousness. I therefore stated the objective clearly,so that your minds may be tuned to mine—asfar asthat may be practically possible. Let your horizon be wide, my brother, and your humility great. I am here speaking individually to you, for you are as yet(the majority of you) individually polarised and the group polarisation lies ahead. I have given much thought to whatI have enjoined upon you in your personal instruction. I have
attempted to gauge you and your need from the point ofthe next lesson you need to learn and the next
step that you can take which willrelease you, each and all, for fuller and deeperspiritualservice. I have
not attempted to consider you from the point of your attainment upon the Path. I have attempted to aid
you in the instructions as a group more than asindividuals, and I will therefore ask you to read each
other'sinstructions with great care, for you willfind your name and perhapssome suggestions occurring in other papersthan your own. It is as a group that you work and as a group you go forward. The sense of criticism and wrong reaction to each other's knowledge israpidly disappearing from among you. That is good. The growth of impersonality must be steady and sure. The faults evidenced by each and all of you are on the surface of yourlives, but the deep inner integration and the activity of the divine nature in each of you is more definitely vital than before. I do notsay that it is as yet in full right outer expression. It can and does produce at times a surface turmoil, but this, ifrightly handled, need cause no true disturbance.

It is essential that all thinking people should give time and thought to the consideration ofthe major
world problems with which we are now faced. Some of them can be solved with relative rapidity— given common sense and a correctly appreciated self-interest; others will require foresighted planning and a long patience as, one by one, the necessary steps are taken, leading to the readjustment of human values and the inauguration of new attitudes of mind regarding right human relations. In the recognition of the growth in human consciousness and in a realization of the distinction obviously existing between primitive men and our modern intelligent humanity lie the groundsfor an unshaken optimism asto
human destiny.Eventsin the immediate foreground do not blot out the long history of human development and
obliterate recognition ofthe long range changes which have taken place within the human consciousness; these basically condition human objectives, all human contacts and underline withunderstanding and perspective the reactions ofthe race of men.

Right down the ages, in many world cycles and inmany countries(and today in all) great points of
tension have occurred which have been characterised by a hopefulsense of expectancy. Some one is
expected and His coming is anticipated. Alwaysin the past, it has been the religiousteachers ofthe
period who have fostered and proclaimed this expectancy and the time has always been one of chaos
and difficulty, of a climaxing point at the close of a civilisation or culture and when the resources of the
old religions have seemed inadequate to meet men's difficulties orto solve their problems. The coming
of the Avatar, the advent of a Coming One and, in terms of today, the reappearance of theChrist are the
keynotes of the prevalent expectancy. When the times are ripe, the invocation ofthe massesisstrident
enough and the faith ofthose who know is keen enough, then always He has come and today will be no
exception to this ancientrule orto this universal law. For decades, the reappearance of the Christ, the
Avatar, has been anticipated by the faithful in both hemispheres—not only by theChristian faithful, but by those who look for Maitreya and for theBoddhisattva as well asthose who expect the Imam Mahdi.
When men feel that they have exhausted all their own resources and have come to an end of all their
own innate possibilities and that the problems and conditions confronting them are beyond theirsolving
or handling, they are apt to look for a divine Intermediary and for the Mediator Who will plead their
cause with God and bring about a rescue. They look for a Saviour. This doctrine of Mediators, of
Messiahs, of Christs and of Avatars can be found running like a golden thread through all the world
faiths and Scriptures and, relating these world Scripturesto some centralsource of emanation, they are
found in rich abundance everywhere. Even the human soul isregarded as an intermediary between man
and God; Christ is believed by countless millionsto act asthe divine mediator between humanity and
divinity.

L'anatomie regroupe l'étude des structures du corps humain qui peuvent être vues à l'oeil nu sans grossissement et l'étude des structures nécessitant l'aide du microscope. Habituellement, dans le langage courant, le terme "anatomie" signifie l'anatomie macroscopique dont l'étude ne nécessite pas l'usage du microscope. A l'anatomie microscopique on réserve le terme "histologie" qui est l'étude des tissus et des cellules.
L'anatomie constitue la base indispensable de la pratique médicale. L'anatomie permet au médecin, après l'examen physique des patients et l'étude des documents d'imagerie les plus avancés, une compréhension de la pathologie. L'anatomie est également importante pour les dentistes, les chiropracteurs, les physiothérapeutes et tous ceux qui sont d'une façon ou d'une autre concernés par le traitement des malades. Le traitement quel qu'il soit commence toujours par une analyse des signes cliniques. La capacité d'interpréter les données de l'examen clinique correctement nécessite une solide compréhension de l'anatomie.

Introduction
It is of majorinterestfor usto know something about the energies and forces which are producing the
present internationalsituation and presenting the complex problems with which the United Nations are
confronted. In the last analysis, all history isthe record ofthe effects of these energies orradiations
(rays, in other words) asthey play upon humanity in its many varying stages of evolutionary
development. These stages extend all the way from those of primeval humanity to our modern
civilisation; all that has happened isthe result of these energies, pouring cyclically through nature and
through that part of nature which we call the human kingdom.
To understand what istoday taking place we mustrecognise that these energies are seven in number.
They are called by many namesin many different lands, but for our purposesthe following seven
names will be used:
1. The energy of Will, Purpose or Power, called inChristian landsthe energy ofthe Will of God.
2. The energy of Love-Wisdom, called frequently the Love of God.
3. The energy of Active Intelligence, called the Mind of God.
4. The energy of Harmony throughConflict, affecting greatly the human family.
5. The energy of Concrete Knowledge or Science,so potent at thistime.
6. The energy of Devotion orIdealism, producing the current ideologies.
7. The energy of Ceremonial Order, producing the new forms of civilisation.
These energies are ceaselessly playing on humanity, producing changes, expressing themselvesthrough
successive civilisations and cultures, and fashioning the many races and nations.

The question arises, each time a book is written which isto be read by earnest aspirants:
What line ofinstruction will carry forward theirtraining with the mostspeed?—forspeed is an
essential factor, ifthe present day unfoldment isto be rightly utilised and the stress and strain in the world relieved. The teaching to be given must likewise increase their mental competency, and lead to
thatstabilisation of the emotional body which willmost rapidly set them free forservice. It must be
remembered that constantstudy (of papers), and the apprehension by the ear and eye ofstatements
anent the Ageless Wisdom,serve only to increase responsibility, or produce brain fatigue and soreness,
with subsequent revolt from instruction. Only that which is brought into use in the life is of practical
value and retainsitslivingness. Sincerity isthe first thing for which those of us who teach inevitably
look.
Let me remind those I reach through these booksthat the main result Ilook foris one of group cooperation and understanding, and not that of individual benefit. By studying and reading with care, a
group interplay isset up, the group becomes more closely integrated, the unitsin it more closely linked
together and as a group more closely blended in the unfolding Plan ofthe treat Ones. We are building
and planning for the future and for humanity, and not forthe personal unfoldment of any particular
aspirant. The individual growth is of no tremendoussignificance. The formation and development of a
band of pledged aspirants, trained to work together and to respond in unison to a teaching, is of real
moment [Page xviii]to those of us who are responsible for the training and for the preparation of the
group of world disciples who willfunction with freedom and power in a later cycle. You see a tiny
portion ofthe Plan. We see the Plan asit unfoldsfor a series oflives ahead, and we are today seeking
those who can be taught to work in group formation and who can constitute one ofthe active unitsin
the vast happeningsthat lie ahead, connected with that two-thirds of humanity who willstand upon the
Path at the close of the age, and with that one-third who will be held over for later unfoldment. We are
training men and women everywhere so that they can be sensitive to the Plan,sensitive to their group
vibration, and thus able to co-operate intelligently with the unfolding purpose. It is a mistake to think
that the Plan isto train aspirantsto be sensitive to the vibration of a Master or to the Hierarchy. That is
but incidental and of minor importance.

We now begin our study of the fourteen rules for those who are seeking initiation, in one or other of its degrees. In Initiation, Human and Solar I gave the rules for those proposing to enter the grades of discipleship. I would like for a minute to deal with the significance of the word "Rule" and give you some idea of its occult meaning. There is much difference between a Law, an Order or Command, and a Rule, and these distinctions should be pondered with care. The Laws of the universe are simply the modes of expression, the life impulses and the way of existence or activity of the One in Whom we live and move and have our being. There is no avoiding these laws in the last analysis, and there is no denying them, for we are eternally swept into activity by them and they govern and control (from the angle of the Eternal Now) all that happens in time and space. Orders and commands are the feeble interpretations which men give to what they understand by law. In time and space, and at any given moment and in any given location, these commands are issued by those who are in a position of authority or who seem to dominate or are in a position to enforce their wishes. Laws are occult and basic. Orders are indicative of human frailty and limitation.

I. LA LECTURE (DANS LES ATELIERS DE LECTURE)

1. Une culture littéraire

Au moins deux "classiques" et cinq ouvrages issus de la littérature de jeunesse contemporaine sont abordés en classe chaque année, pour varier les genres, stimuler la curiosité et constituer un riche univers de références. (d'après les programmes 2007, p. 106)

Depuis sa petite enfance, l'enfant a la mémoire nourrie d'histoires. Il n'arrive pas vierge de culture littéraire au cycle 3. Les enseignants doivent s'appuyer sur ce capital afin d'accroître, d'enrichir un» premier socle de références :

- susciter la fréquentation régulière d'oeuvres littéraires ;
- donner à lire des textes :
- porteurs de sens pluriels, polysémiques
- résistants, non immédiatement transparents
- aux enjeux éthiques, moraux, philosophiques, esthétiques
- aux effets ciblés : faire rire, émouvoir, rêver, imaginer, interroger le monde et le juger, réfléchir, grandir...
- mettre des textes en résonance : catégorie générique, intertextualité (citation d'un texte dans un : autre texte, parodie, détournement, transposition, personnage, auteur, valeurs et/ou symboles véhiculés pour acquérir et développer une culture littéraire partagée dont on peut discuter ensemble et qui fédère le groupe classe.

Se constituer un riche répertoire de références culturelles prises dans la littérature de jeunesse classique, contemporaine ou patrimoniale.

L'apparition et le développement de la psychanalyse ont totalement renouvelé la connaissance de l'enfant. Celui-ci a cessé d'être considéré comme un homme en réduction que l'expérience et les vicissitudes de la vie en société conduisent à devenir l'adulte, tel qu'il se définissait à la lumière de l'introspection.
En introduisant les dimensions de l'Histoire et en accordant sa part au poids de l'instinct, Freud a montré la complexité du développement de l'enfant. La sexualité infantile fut pour lui une hypothèse de base, elle fut aussi une des causes essentielles de la résistance à la diffusion de la théorie psychanalytique. Mais depuis cinquante ans, l'état d'esprit s'est modifié à ce sujet : une grande partie du public s'est peu à peu familiarisée avec les données de la psychologie des profondeurs.
Ce livre ne prétend nullement apporter au lecteur des connaissances pratiques sur le développement de la vie de l'enfant ni sur son fonctionnement mental. Nous sommes persuadés que la théorie psychanalytique est à l'origine de progrès importants dans le domaine de la santé mentale ; mais nous constatons aussi que sa vulgarisation n'a guère évité d'abusives simplifications, signes probables d'une angoisse subtile et tenace, face aux remaniements qu'entraîne pour chacun de nous une connaissance psychanalytique approfondie du psychisme de l'enfant. Nous croyons en effet que cette connaissance peut susciter des inquiétudes chez les parents, mais surtout que la vulgarisation, valorisant la protohistoire de la psychanalyse et insistant sur l'importance des traumatismes, risque gravement de faire négliger les responsabilités éducatives, comme nous le montrerons dans notre étude du traumatisme pathogène.
Ce livre ne prétend pas non plus être une somme des connaissances psychanalytiques de l'enfant. Il n'est pas de travail psychanalytique qui ne se réfère à Freud, dont l'intérêt pour l'enfance ne s'est jamais démenti, ni dans sa vie, ni dans son oeuvre. Pas de travail psychanalytique dans le domaine de la connaissance de l'enfant et de son développe­ment qui n'apparaisse, à la relecture, comme autre chose que le point des théories freudiennes.
D'ailleurs si l'on reprend tous les travaux psychanalytiques, on y trouve la somme de nos connaissances au sujet de l'enfant dans cette perspective des théories de son dévelop­pement.
L'oeuvre du créateur de la psychanalyse offre les mêmes possibilités. Dès le début de sa carrière scientifique, Freud consacra d'importants travaux aux paralysies infantiles, comme le rappellent E. Kris, dans l'introduction à La corres­pondance avec Fliess [101] et Ernst Jones dans le premier volume de La vie et l'oeuvre de Sigmund Freud [186].

Pourquoi partir ?

Quand Isabelle, Charline, Clara et moi avons décidé d'aller passer une année à l'étranger, nous éprouvions un grand besoin de retour au calme. Nous sortions de dix années de fortes turbulences.

Quand j'y repense, deux dates me viennent à l'esprit :

- août 1995, à Hendaye, au Pays basque, sur la plage où ma soeur et moi avons vécu les plus belles vacances de notre enfance.
Isabelle est enceinte de Clara depuis six mois ; je suis Premier ministre depuis trois mois. La confiance en l'avenir et l'enthousiasme nous portent l'un et l'autre.

- août 2005, rue Saint-Viateur à Montréal.
Nous débarquons, par + 40 °C, de l'avion de Paris, dans une maison inconnue. Le réfrigérateur est vide.

Nous nous mettons en quête d'un bistro. Curieusement, nous tombons sur un «moule/frites», sympathique au demeurant. Ce n'est pas la première expérience gastronomique que nous nous attendions à faire en Amérique du Nord...

Entre ces deux dates, une tranche de vie bien remplie. Avec ses épreuves : l'échec aux élections législatives de mai 1997, ma mise en examen en août 1998, Nanterre 2003, Versailles 2004, l'arrachement de Bordeaux en décembre 2004...

Le petit Christophe, assis auprès d'elle, n'était pas très poli. Il ne lui faisait jamais de compliments : loin de là. Elle lui en gardait rancune, et ne laissait passer aucune de ses observations, sans réplique. Elle discutait tout ce qu'il disait; quand elle se trompait, elle s'obstinait à soutenir qu'elle jouait ce qui était marqué. Il s'irritait, et ils continuaient à échanger des impertinences. Les yeux baissés sur les touches, elle observait Christophe et jouissait de sa fureur. Pour se désennuyer, elle inventait de petites ruses stupides, qui n'avaient d'autre objet que d'interrompre la leçon et d'agacer Christophe. Elle feignait de s'étrangler, pour se rendre intéressante; elle avait une quinte de toux, ou bien elle avait quelque chose de très important à dire à la femme de chambre. Christophe savait que c'était de la comédie; et Minna savait que Christophe savait que c'était de la comédie; et elle s'en amusait : car Christophe ne pouvait lui dire ce qu'il pensait.

Un jour qu'elle se livrait à ce divertissement, et qu'elle toussotait languissamment, le museau caché dans son mouchoir, comme si elle était près de suffoquer, guettant du coin de l'œil Christophe exaspéré, elle eut l'idée ingénieuse de laisser tomber le mouchoir, pour forcer Christophe à le ramasser : ce qu'il fit de la plus mauvaise grâce du monde. Elle l'en récompensa d'un «Merci!» de grande dame, qui faillit le faire éclater. Elle jugea ce jeu trop bon pour ne pas le redoubler. Le lendemain, elle recommença. Christophe ne broncha pas : il bouillait de colère. Elle attendit un moment, puis dit d'un ton dépité :

« Voudriez-vous, je vous prie, ramasser mon mouchoir? » Christophe n'y tint plus.
«Je ne suis pas votre domestique! cria-t-il grossièrement. Ramassez-le vous-même! »

Minna fut suffoquée. Elle se leva brusquement de son tabouret, qui tomba :

«Oh! c'est trop fort», dit-elle, tapant rageusement sur le clavier. Elle sortit furieuse.

Christophe l'attendit. Elle ne revint pas. Il avait honte de son action : il sentait qu'il s'était conduit comme un petit goujat. Aussi, il était à bout, elle se moquait de lui avec trop d'effronterie! Il craignit que Minna ne se plaignît et qu'il ne se fût aliéné pour toujours l'esprit de Mme de Kerich. Il ne savait que faire; car, s'il regrettait sa brutalité, pour rien au monde il n'eût demandé pardon.

Ne t'imagine pas que la légèreté rime automatiquement avec bonheur, quel que soit le sens que l'on donne au mot bonheur, d'ailleurs. Il n'en est rien. Mais cette légèreté libère l'esprit et lui permet de fonctionner plus intelligemment.

Les fleurs étaient encore endormies, dans l'attente du baiser du printemps qui les révèlerait comme de nombreuses princesses ensommeillées.
