Being the Terran ambassador assigned to Kenistal, the Demon home world, is not a particularly easy posting. Caris Dealyn wants nothing more than to get this assignment done so he can continue searching for his missing Avanti friends. But first, he needs to solve the mystery surrounding the last ambassador’s disappearance, while navigating the Demon court with all its whisperings of plots and betrayals. It's not such a bad job, if he could keep his attention on work and not on the prince who seems to distract him just by being near. Prince Dasalin Kan’erkit is busy running the kingdom in his father's absence, but not so busy he doesn’t notice the new Ambassador. Caris gets under his skin like no one else before, which is quite a feat considering Dasa’s demonically tough scales. The attraction between them is undeniable, and when events throw them together, sparks fly. They can't get enough of each other. But there are forces at work that wish to keep them apart. In a fight for their survival, the two must figure out which demonic faction is behind the plot and protect not only themselves, but the people they have both vowed to serve.

Commander Bo’saverin Hevalis, head of the Cobalts, is trying to recover from the injuries he sustained in battle. The enforced downtime is giving him too much time to think, torture for a man of action. The trouble in their sector is weighing heavily on his mind as it seems to be getting ever closer to the demon homeworld. The only good thing is the strange green-haired man he rescued constantly stealing his attention. There is something about Ari that pulls at Bo in a way no other ever has. As the two get to know each other, there is no denying the attraction between them. Bo longs to show Ari a life that he's never had a chance to experience before. Held hostage by his mother, Ari grew up locked away from everything and everyone, only experiencing the world on his compcube and longing to explore what is outside the walls that trap him. Now, living with the demons, he's free to find himself and live his own life and find his passions. Even as feelings grow between Ari and Bo, enemies lurk in the shadows, slowly working to take down the demon leaders and send Ari back to his controlling mother. Bo will face down any danger to prevent Ari being taken from him, allowing them to start the life they both deserve.

Dea's life is all about his role as a commander of a battlecruiser. At the height of his career, he can take command of any ship he wants, he's well respected, and surrounded by friends and family. Yet, something has been missing for a long time. Part of his soul was left behind at the academy, with someone he walked away from all those years ago. Uri loves control. It's in every part of his life, his work as commander, his friendships, and even the bedroom, but there is one person he can't control, and that is the one person who turns his life upside down. A deadly attack forces Dea and Uri to work together, putting their troubled past behind them for the survival of all those under their command. Yet, working together could be the toughest challenge either of them has ever faced as memories bombard them, stirring up feelings that were never dealt with. They struggle to resist the pull they have on each other, falling back into old habits, no matter how hard they try to resist them. With shadowy forces trying to seize power, enemies old and new come out of hiding, and the battles begin to rage. The future of not just the demons, but other worlds hang precariously on the edge of a blade. Life and death decisions need to be made, and Uri and Dea find themselves leaning on each other as they lead their crews through treacherous space. With conspiracies and plots all around them, they soon realize they are all in greater danger than anyone believed possible, and the plans to change the Alliance go far deeper than they first thought.

As the ruler of an empire, King Vict’arin is accustomed to living a life that is anything but normal. Unable to enjoy the simple things in life the way his demons do, he chooses to live and work for the good of his citizens. Lonely and tired, he finds solace with his family, enjoying watching his new grand-demonesses grow. Longing for more, he begins preparing to pass the crown onto his son so he can relax for a change. Commander Dima Carilion has lived through the worst of what the universe has to offer, including being forced to watch his brother die at the hands of those he should have been able to trust. Unable to stay in the Alliance, Dima leaves his career and the life he knew behind, helping others work to bring change to the universe and stop the evil forcing its way from one world to another. With the help of powerful friends and allies, he sets out to find others, aiding in their quest to return peace to the universe. Delivering a message to the Demon King, Dima finds himself in unknown territory and surrounded by a race filled with warriors. Yet, not only is he welcomed by them, he feels a kinship to them— these are men of honor, reminding him of his brother, and those under his command. The one thing he’d never expected was to find himself attracted to the king. Vict is unlike any man he’s ever met, and there’s a peace inside his soul when the two of them spend time together. While wanting to help as much as possible, Kenistal is facing its own crisis. Infighting between the guilds is on the rise, and rumors swirl around them. Who is plotting, and what are they planning? As Dima starts to believe he might find peace, a new home, and something special with Vict, a power struggle between the guilds leaves Kenistal in chaos. Vict finds himself drawn to Dima, even though he’s never been with a man before, and hasn’t even considered it. Yet, this pull is stronger than anything he’s ever experienced before, even with his treacherous ex-queen, who he’d been mated to for years. Could Dima be what he needs, can things work out between them, and more importantly, will the demons he rules over accept a him having a non-demon mate?
