Man Card - La série

My best friend’s sister was off limits; until the day she sauntered into my classroom. She’s looking to perfect her candy making skills. He was supposed to be just another one-night stand before I graduated… When I met him I didn’t tell him who I was, he didn’t need to know anything about me. I had one goal in mind for my future…for my career. I always followed the rules, particularly where my future was concerned. So what was it about my mystery man that made me want to go against all my rules? What was it that made me crave him more than my career?

My profile picture was being swiped left and right on a dating app, even though I never signed up. I found out my thirteen-year-old daughter was playing matchmaker again, and I wasn't sure if I was on board. Until I received a private message that had me more than a little curious.

t was time to enjoy the beach. Soak up the sun, and check paddle boarding off my bucket list. Falling off the paddle board and getting rescued by a hot lifeguard was not part of my plan. Who needs a bucket list when you can have your own personal lifeguard. Well, he wasn’t mine to keep. Yet.

This had to be a nightmare. Who forgets to attend a class? Not just on one day but for the whole semester. Yes, that would be me! To graduate I need the credits. To get the credits I need to retake the class. Just as I thought my summer was doomed I saw my professor. Things are about to heat up and I’m not talking about the temperature outside.

Life with my boyfriend was better than all the fairytales combined. Until the day he left me stranded in the middle of nowhere. He just drove off with no explanation. When a sexy stranger offered me a ride, I should’ve said no. I should’ve…but I was never any good at following the rules. And I deserved my own Prince Charming.

They say a phone call can change your life. I had to look at my phone a few times because I couldn’t believe what I just heard. I was the winner of a week-long getaway on an exotic island. The idea of sipping cocktails with one of those cute umbrellas on the beach sounded like something I definitely needed. There had to be a catch.
