Welcome to Rose Haven Academy, a place where extraordinary abilities are the norm. I’m Juniper Nevels, a magnet for things that go bump in the night. A freak among freaks, you might say. Everyone around me has these amazing abilities; empathy, healing, telepathy. But I get to see beyond the veil. Lucky, right? Things start looking up for me when teams are determined. It seems like fate when my best friends Dexter and Sterling are assigned with me, along with the sweet and sexy twins, Asher and Alex. The RH Academy doesn’t normally assign co-ed teams, and I’m beginning to see why. One girl and four hot guys? What could go wrong? Our lives flip upside down when I bring everyone on an unsanctioned ghost hunt. Something evil is lying dormant in the underbelly of the dorm and we accidentally wake it up. Of course, it’s not just your average spirit, but one that’s out for blood. As the presence gets stronger, the veil weakens, magnifying the danger we’re facing. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, they say. Well, I, Juniper Nevels, am about to test that theory, like it or not. During my time at Rose Haven Academy, I've had quite a few ups and downs. On the plus side, I've finally been assigned the team of my dreams. On the downside, our accidental slip into the supernatural has brought an evil presence out of hiding. My team and I can't seem to catch a break. As if dealing with spirits and spooky nightmares weren't enough, now we are facing an even stronger presence. It’s known as the Human Vampire. This sinister being was once an elusive serial killer and now his sights are set on me. He's after me, and he's hungry for blood. But even as our lives get darker, the bond between my four guys and me grows stronger. Now that our team is all finally on board, we have a real chance at proving to the academy that we're worthy. And we plan to take our spot among the elite. Defying everything we've learned about the supernatural so far, which isn't much, the specter continues to torment us. After a few close calls in which we barely escape with our lives, we decide enough is enough and look for help outside of the academy. Because what Rose Haven doesn't know won't hurt them, right? Our future with the RH Elite forces and our lives depend on whether we can banish this presence for good. Can the tricks we've learned on the outside save us, or are we headed into certain death? The Human Vampire must be sent back into the shadows. The real question is, can you ever banish evil for good?

Rose Haven Academy put us up against a demon, and we won. Now my team of four hunky guys and I are part of the Elite Forces. I’m not sure if that’s good news or not. Our biggest foe, Captain Levi, seems to have warmed up to the possibilities of our powers, but that doesn’t mean she plans to make life easy for us. Within days of becoming part of the Elite forces, we are off on our first mission. We thought we were out of danger, but our biggest trial has just begun. A mysterious creature has overrun one of the training facilities of the Academy. Since our squad is the only one with experience dealing with creatures from beyond the veil, we’re prime pickin for the job. Lucky for me, my boyfriends and I have become a strong unit. Each of our powers complements the others. We arrive at the camp and immediately set out on a fact-finding mission. Having been through training and defeating my demon, this haunting seems like a cakewalk - until it isn’t. When we find the entire town surrounding the camp is in league with dark forces, our well-laid plans fall to pieces. Between fighting off deranged townies and staying safe from entities that lurk in the lake, we’re spread thin. And of course, that’s when things take a turn from bad to worse, nearly breaking me for good. Will we be able to solve the mystery of the Nøkken in time? Or will our first task as Elites lead us to a watery grave? Things that go bump in the night aren’t always harmless.
