Tailhook (en français : crosse d'appontage) est l'un des composants les plus importants d'un avion. Crochet fixé sous la partie arrière de l'avion, il permet à l'avion de s'accrocher au câble d'arrêt suspendu sur le pont du porte-avions afin de permettre un arrêt sur une très courte distance.

Zhou Qi Chen, ancien pilote d'avions embarqués de l'armée, s'est reconverti et est aujourd'hui pilote de ligne. D'un naturel ouvert, il n'a eu aucun mal à s'intégrer dans sa nouvelle entreprise et aura même acquis assez d'heures de vol pour être promu capitaine à la fin de l'année.

Il croise alors la route de Lang Feng, également pilote. Droit et rigoureux, il est le plus jeune commandant de KLM. Très vite, ils sentent une attirance mutuelle malgré leurs caractères opposés.

—The tailhook, also known as the arresting hook, is one of the most important components on a carrier-based aircraft. When landing, the tailhook increases resistance through snagging onto the arresting wire suspended across the deck of the carrier. This is so that the carrier will be able to land on the runway within a short period of time. Globally, organizations whose members are naval carrier-based aircraft pilots are also called Tailhook Associations.
