Dreary Shadows - La série

Dreary Shadows Academy was not where I wanted to be for my final year of high school. Things never go as planned, though, and now, the Shadow Brothers have me on their radar. They seem to show up everywhere I turn. I hoped they’d back off, but fate has other plans. When I’m attacked, they’re the ones to save me, opening my eyes to a whole new world. The supernatural aren’t supposed to exist, and I wasn’t supposed to be thrown in the middle like this. I’m just a normal girl. Or so I thought. In a world full of vampires, werewolves, and witches, it’s no surprise when everything crumbles and someone gets cursed. I’ll be surprised if I get through the year alive, or at least with my heart intact. These vampires are going to break me, I just know it.

Dreary Shadows is like a coffin, slowly suffocating me as my battered heart tries to heal. The Shadow Brothers ripped my heart out when they vanished, and I was slowly dying with each passing day. I wasn’t being dramatic, I was actually dying. I guess that’s what happens when you’re bonded to a vampire who bails on you. When two new vampires come to town, it’s no surprise. Many have passed through to drain me for my magical blood, but these two are different. One is sweet, the other completely insane. Nothing could make the Shadow Brothers come home faster, quite like sensing me being fed on. The truth of my past has come back to smack me in the face with full force, surrounding us with new challenges and enemies. My mother graces me with her unwanted presence, I go from one blood bond to four, and my powers are more of a hazard than a gift. The scary part? This is only the beginning.

Dreary Shadows was going to be the death of me, I could feel it. Whether it be from my enemies or my vampires, I wasn’t sure. Gunnar and Emmett were both a high risk of killing me, but the others were doing their best to keep me safe. It was difficult when half of them wanted to turn me. The witches and vampires have been hunting me down, and it’s hard to believe the truths that are coming out. Parts of my life had been a lie, and the hate I’d always felt towards my father was misplaced this whole time. I knew my mother was the devil, but this was getting out of hand. She wanted me dead, although it won’t be in the way she expected. A trusted friend betrays me, another starts to push me away, and an enemy becomes a friend. I’d need my vampires now more than ever, especially as I learn to navigate the new twists and turns in my life. Like I said, Dreary Shadows was going to be the death of me. One way or another, I wasn’t getting out of this alive.

Dreary Shadows will always be the place where I lost my soul. I’d look back on my memories of this town one day and feel torn. I found myself, made friends, and found my seven vampires. I also took my last breath here and faced so much darkness it almost suffocated me. Trying to find Blade has become impossible as the weeks pass. Whether he hurt me or not, he was my best friend and he was in trouble. I wouldn’t stop until I got answers and Ezra got his mate back. Even if my vamps want to kill him for what he did. It's vampires vs witches and we can't afford to lose. We have to find Blade and win this war once and for all. I’ll turn to ash before letting my mother destroy everything that I love.
