Kazuha Akiyoshi is the eldest of six children. Highly responsible and irresistibly cute, she is also something of a tomboy who never allows her softer side to show through –– until she meets Mizushima, the first guy to treat her like a girl. Kazuha has her first real crush ; will it be reciprocated ? Then there's Sugimoto, an older guy who wants to be an important part of her life — but he's the one who Kazuha hates more than anyone !

Though she didn't react well when Sugimoto stole a kiss (a first for her !), Kazuha begins to wonder if maybe she really does have feelings for him. But her friend Senko really seems to be in love with Sugimoto. Should Kazuha step aside for her friend or follow her feelings and try to win over Sugimoto herself ?

Is Kazuha seriously thinking about becoming a hairdresser, or is she only considering it because it's Sugimoto's career and represents a way to get closer to him ? Meanwhile, there's trouble at home when her brother, Chizura, starts hanging out with the wrong crowd. Sugimoto steps in to try to help the troubled Chizura, but his advice might just lead to a serious rift between Kazuha and Sugimoto.

Kazuha takes a big step and decides to embark on a career as a hair stylist. Sugimoto warns her that it may not be as easy as she thinks, but he gives her his support and gets her a job at a salon. Kazuha discovers that a fellow hairdresser seems to have it in for her, even though she's done nothing to offend her. What's behind this stylist's feelings and can Kazuha do anything to change her mind ?

Are Kazuha and her friend Senko rivals for Sugimoto's heart ? Kazuha has no idea, of course, because Senko does such a good job of keeping her true feelings a secret. Senko's confessed to Sugimoto that she once had it bad for him. But is it really in the past tense ? Things get really complicated when they both accompany Sugimoto to the wedding of Mizushima, Kazuha's first, big crush.

When Kazuha's good friend Arata confesses his love for her, she's understandably stunned. She doesn't share his feelings – and besides, she's in love with Sugimoto. But she certainly doesn't want to hurt her friend's feelings either. What's a girl to do ?

Saki Sugimoto is the newest teacher at school, and he just happens to be the half-brother of Maki Sugimoto, the guy Kazuha's been getting close to. Kazuha's friend Senko really likes the newest Sugimoto, but the situation is complicated by the fact that the siblings can't want nothing to do with each other. Why has Maki never talked about Saki before and what caused this bitter rift between them ?

The tension builds between Maki and Saki, the Sugimoto half-brothers. Kazuha loves Maki, but Saki implies that something bad might happen if Maki continues to see her. To protect Kazuha, Maki breaks up with her, leaving Kazuha devastated. She confides in Maki's friend Honjo, who tells her more about the brothers' troubled past and a girl who was at the center of their conflict.

Kazuha contends with the rivalry between the Sugimoto brothers. Maki, the one she's in love with, resents Saki, the brother who teaches at Kazuha's school — and the feeling may be mutual. Now we'll learn how their mother blamed Maki for all of their family misfortunes and how a mysterious woman became involved in this family feud.Will all of this information affect Kazuha's feelings toward Maki ?

Since the day that Junpei kicked a soda can and accidentally knocked the head off of a cat statue on his way home from school, he's been cursed with a spell that transforms him into a cat. The only chance he has to break the curse is by carrying out one hundred good deeds protecting cats in his town. To make matters worse Junpei is allergic to cats! The curse also allows him to hear conversations between his and other cats. Although he is ridiculed by his classmates for being able to "hear cats' conversations," it also brings him closer to Mizuno, a cute classmate that he has a crush on. Later, Junpei learns from a priest's cat that he must not let any others know of his curse. The results would be two-fold: the bearer of the news would also be cursed and the curse would spread at a faster rate!
