Hoodlums punch my face

MY NAME IS APOLLO. I used to be a god.

In my four thousands six hundred and twelve years, I have done many things. I inflicted a plague on the Greeks who besieged Troy. I blessed Babe Ruth with three home runs in game four of 1926 World Series. I visited my wrath upon Britney Spears at the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards.

But in all my immortal life, I never before crash-landed.

Now I was blind to such things. I could only be sure she was a demigod because she had successfully claimed my service. Zeus had affirmed her right with a clap of thunder. I felt the binding upon me like a shroud of tightly wrapped banana peels. Whoever Meg McCaffrey was, however she had happened to find me, our fates were now intertwined.

It was almost as embarrassing as the acne.

Apollo, who is now struggling to adjust to his mortal self, and his new friend, Meg McCaffrey, walking toward Percy Jackson's home to seek help as they want to get to Camp Half-Blood. As they walk to Percy's apartment, Meg sees "shiny blobs" in the distance and the pair fear that the blobs are spirits stalking them. An eerie atmosphere (of spirits following them) is created. They finally reach a red bricked, five-story flat. Apollo sees a Toyota with Pegasus hoof prints and is certain that this is the home of Percy. They ring the buzzer and are let into the flat. Percy rudely greets Apollo, while Meg hides behind Apollo's back. Apollo reveals that Meg is a demigod who needs to get to Camp Half-Blood and that earlier Meg saved Apollo from being mugged on the street. Percy sighs and invites Meg and Apollo into his apartment...
