Protocol, Tome 4 : Possession Protocol

Description ajoutée par Underworld 2016-06-11T21:40:27+02:00

Résumé

Beck Corbett left something behind when he followed his team. Something he’s been unable to forget, someone still haunting his dreams.

Seneca should have forgotten Beck. In fact, she made it a priority to get past the special ops sniper, but her heart isn’t listening. She isn’t prepared for the moment he walks back into her life just as abruptly as he left it—or the lust she feels for his partner, Marshall Satuik. Beck’s still everything she can’t resist, and Marshall is a temptation she can’t ignore. But hopping into bed with them scares her. What if they disappear again?

Men like Beck and Marshall don’t live their lives in the open. They melt back into the shadows without a trace. But Seneca’s in trouble and Beck never takes any threat lightly. They’re not budging until the threat is neutralized. Which means Seneca has to face up to her desire for both men or risk losing it all…

“You’re the best thing that ever happened to me…”

Seneca twisted, torn between the need to indulge herself by letting Beck Corbett into her dreams, and the logical choice to escape before she ended up nursing her broken heart.

“You complete me, baby…”

She sighed, more than content now that his voice was louder. His hands slid along her cheek and into her hair before gently cupping the back of her head. He liked to be in control but he was always careful of his grip. She trembled, excited by the strength in his hands and his kiss—blistering hot but tender too. She reached for him, seeking the warm skin she could almost smell but her hands found nothing but empty space. The dream shattered, dropping her back into cold, hard reality. Her bedroom was dark and very empty. Tears stung her eyes and she wiped at them angrily.

Beck Corbett was history.

How many times did she need to remind herself of that fact?

But her lips tingled, longing for that kiss and the man who’d walked out on her two years ago.

Two years…

She snorted before getting up. It was barely dawn but she wasn’t going to get back to sleep.

She never did after a dream about Beck. She’d just lie there, remembering the way he kissed, the way heat uncoiled in her belly like some sort of living force.

Yeah, she wouldn’t be sleeping. She’d be dealing with the growing burn of arousal and the frustration of knowing true satisfaction was way out of her reach.

Walking through the quiet house, she started the coffee maker and listened to it begin to brew. Her computer sat waiting for her to log in but she wasn’t interested in working. She flipped through the junk mail, deleting a dozen or more before finding one from a college friend she hadn’t heard from in years. It was an invitation to Facebook. The social networking site had never interested her before but it was too tempting to ignore today.
